Reggie Miller's son was given all sorts of choices for his eighth-birthday cake. He went with the classic "dad with hands around the neck giving the choke sign" design.

Classic, of course, only if your dad is the one who made that sign.

Miller posted to Instagram Sunday photos of 8-year-old Ryker and his cake -- a Pacers blue and gold Nike shoe box with a basketball shoe atop emblazoned with an image of Miller giving the choke sign.

"Can everyone please help me wish this stud muffin a very HAPPY 8th BIRTHDAY!!!!!!," Miller wrote. "Mama Bear @lauralaskowski and I are are amazed at the little gentleman you’re growing into.. I’m also honored you chose MY FACE to adorn your cake cake cake, you had options, but glad I got the call up..love you SOOOOO MUCH MiniMe.. #VirgoSeasonRules"

Ryker went a bit retro -- as in 27 years retro -- for his cake decor. Miller's famous choke sign debuted in the Pacers' historic playoff game against the Knicks on June 1, 1994.

The Pacers trailed the Knicks by 12 points heading into the fourth quarter of Game 5 of the 1994 Eastern Conference finals. That's when Miller unleashed 25 points in one quarter in one of the greatest performances of his Hall-of-Fame NBA career.

Miller's onslaught of shots silenced the rowdy crowd at Madison Square Garden and he taunted movie director Spike Lee — a diehard Knicks fan — with his hands-around-his-throat choke sign.

Indiana outscored New York 35-16 that quarter to secure a 93-86 victory and take a 3-2 lead in the series. Miller scored 39 points for the game.

The Millers made sure Ryker's cake was as authentic as they come. The cake shoe box was detailed with a UPC code on the end and the size "USA 8" with the words "Happy Birthday All Star Player Ryker."

In a video, Miller hand delivered a huge chunk of the cake to Ryker -- the slice that included, of course, Miller doing the choke sign.
