A sprawling mansion with 870 feet of lake frontage along Coeur d'Alene in Worley, Idaho, has claimed the title of the state’s most expensive home sold on the public market after it changed hands for $27.5 million last week, according to the Multiple Listing Service.
Known as Sky Pine Estate, the 18-acre property was listed in August for $30 million and found a buyer in just two months, according to listing records.
The property has a 16,620-square-foot timber-frame main residence, a 2,400-square-foot boathouse housing eight watercraft (included in the sale), an expansive outdoor patio for entertaining, a private helipad on the grounds and two hangars at the Coeur d' Alene Airport, according to the listing with Ed Kaminsky of Strand Hill, a boutique real estate firm in California.
The house has a primary bedroom wing with an office, a studio, a bathroom, and large closets, in addition to three en-suite bedrooms. All rooms have lake views, according to the listing.
The home, per property records, was built in 2011 for Ron Pratte, the founder and former CEO of the Pratte Development Company, one of the biggest wood framing and concrete foundation companies in the U.S., and a well-known car collector who sold his 140-car collection in 2015 for more than $40 million.
Mr. Pratte could not be reached for comment. The listing agent, Mr. Kaminsky, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Mansion Global could not independently identify the buyer, as the transaction has yet to appear on property records online.
Coeur d’Alene is one of the most sought-after vacation spots for celebrities and millionaires. Another lakefront mansion, known as Copper Rock Estate, is currently on the market for $27 million.
