London is home to the ten most expensive streets in the UK, new data revealed. Kensington Palace Gardens, where the average property costs almost £30m ($41m), topped the list as the priciest road in Britain for the thirteenth consecutive year.
Zoopla's Rich List for 2021 ranks the country's most expensive streets based on average house prices.
In second place was by Courtenay Avenue in Highgate, followed by Grosvenor Crescent, Ilchester Place and the Boltons.
"Arguably the most exclusive address in London, Kensington Palace Gardens is well known for its embassies, diplomatic residences and billionaire residents, including Roman Abramovich," the report said.
Courtenay Avenue is home to an average property value of £19.4m and is located "on the edge of leafy Hampstead Heath, just a stone’s throw from Kenwood House."
Three new entrants in the list include The Boltons (SW10), Frognal Way (NW3) and Carlyle Square (SW3).
Meanwhile outside London, Titlarks HIll in Ascot, Berkshire took the crown from Leatherhead, Surrey, with an average property value of £8,410,000.
In second place outside of London is Montrose Gardens in Leatherhead, Surrey which is located within the exclusive Crown Estate.
Five streets in the Surrey enclave of Virginia Water feature in the most expensive list outside of London, including Portnall Rise, Woodlands Road East and Wentworth Drive.
Zoopla also revealed the most expensive streets in Britain’s largest counties — Montrose Gardens in Leatherhead was Surrey’s most expensive street.
In Kent, Philippines Shaw is the priciest street with an average property price of £4.2m, while Dock Lane in Brockenhurst has an average property value of £2.4m and ranks in third place.
New additions to the list include Broadway in Altrincham, an area popular with Premiership footballers and Greater Manchester’s most expensive street with an average property price of £3.3m.
Coopersale Street in Epping is now Essex’s most expensive street with an average property type of £2.9m.
"This data illustrates how the type and size of properties coupled with some of the most desirable locations around the country create prime areas, resulting in some most valuable residential streets in the country," said Gráinne Gilmore, head of research at Zoopla.
“London comes top when it comes to the UK’s prime markets, but the wider commuter zone in the South East is also home to some of the highest-value addresses, reflecting the size and type of housing stock in these regions. “
