Lubbock is a great place for those wanting to live in a fairly large city but still have a small-town feel.
One of the perks of Lubbock that reminisces in that small-town vibe is how affordable it is to live here. It is a great place for young singles as well as families due to the availability of jobs and the lower rent and home prices compared to larger cities in Texas.
I knew that Lubbock is overall a very affordable city, but I was wondering what neighborhoods are the most affordable here.
I decided to dig back into one of my favorite websites, Neighborhood Scout, in order to see what information they have on the least expensive neighborhoods in Lubbock.
I previously used this site to find the data I used on the most expensive neighborhoods, the safest neighborhoods, and the neighborhoods with the highest appreciating homes in Lubbock.
I found that the least expensive neighborhoods span across the city, but mostly collect around central and eastern Lubbock. A lot of these neighborhoods are older, like the City Center and Clovis Rd and 2nd St. Others are newer developments like West End Place and the northern part of Clovis and N Indiana Ave.
Whether you are looking to move, or you are just curious if your neighborhood made it on the list, here are 15 of the least expensive neighborhoods in Lubbock, Texas:
