CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Of the two days of InCuya music festival, Sunday stood out. Featuring performances by folk-rock band The Avett Brothers, R&B singer SZA and alt rock band Cake, the fest managed to provide music for every kind of fan - whether young or old, mainstream or hipster.
The downtown Cleveland music festival took place on Sunday at Malls B and C, bringing a healthy crowd into its gates throughout the day. (Just one day earlier, InCuya brought in smaller crowds that often made the grassy fields look somewhat empty.)
But on Sunday, bigger audiences showed up and stayed throughout the day. The sun beamed down on the field, as big groups of people danced the day away

Just as on Saturday, InCuya still didn't sell out on Sunday. Based on the fluctuating crowds throughout the day, I would say there were 8,000 to 10,000 people at InCuya on Sunday. And for a festival in its first year, that felt solid.
Sunday's lineup and turnout showed the true potential for InCuya, a brand-new festival created by AEG, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and the new Cleveland Concert Company. InCuya was announced back in March, marketed as the first summer mainstream music festival of its size to take place in downtown Cleveland.
