Mum bakes a cake to wish her son “good luck”, accidentally drops a c-bomb

IN the United Kingdom, thousands of proud parents are waving their children off for their first year of university this month.

Some send their kids off with gifts to gild the teary-eyed goodbyes — but in one case, a heartfelt gesture horribly backfired.

One mum decided to put the icing on her son’s departure with a cake that ended up resembling a foul-mouthed farewell.

A picture of the colourful cake was shared on Reddit where users served up hilarious comments by the baker’s dozen.

Yellow-SP, who posted the image, went with the simple caption: “A friend made a cake for her son last week”.

The piping c-bomb got a huge rise out of the online community by those who spotted it in the innocent looking post.

One wrote: “What sort of person calls their son a c**t?”

To which another replied: “One who’s delighted to see the little s**t finally leave after eighteen long years.”

SwissJAmes wrote: “Absolute gold — when [your] head says “Good Luck @ Uni”, but your heart says “Get the f**k out of my house”.

Some of the sweeter users thought people had been promoting the post because it was a nice gesture.

While some people didn’t see the obscenity in the icing. One said: “I just thought this was a post about a cake.”

Others took the opportunity to relate the somewhat disappointing gifts they were shipped off to Fresher’s Week with.

CoalCrafty said: “All I got for starting uni was a digital clock and an empty wine bottle.

“Then my parents decided they would keep the win bottle ‘cause it was too nice to give to a student.”

A less fortunate user wrote: “All I got from my mum was a kettle and a packet of condoms.

“Never used either of them.”
