Pepper Pike home goes for $2.2 million - See the 10 most expensive home sales in Cuyahoga County in September - cleveland.com

CLEVELAND, Ohio — A Pepper Pike mansion marketed as a $2.65 million home was the most expensive home sold in Cuyahoga County in September, though not for as much as the seller initially wanted.

The 4-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom home on Fairmount Boulevard sold for $2.2 million last month after being on the market since May, according to property records released last week and analyzed by cleveland.com and The Plain Dealer. It was one of seven homes to sell for more than $1 million.

Of the 10 homes in the county with the highest sales prices, six were in the eastern suburbs, one was in the Edgewater neighborhood of Cleveland, two were in Bay Village and one was in Rocky River.

The housing market in the county has heated up significantly since last year, fueled at least at first by low interest rates. Agents have said they are starting to see signs of the market stabilizing, though prices continue to rise. In suburban Cleveland, some of the biggest gains have been in mid-priced cities like Parma, South Euclid and North Olmsted.

However, agents have also said that market has a cap, and that competition for homes approaching and above $1 million is far less fierce.

Below you can find a list of the 10 homes that sold for the most in the county in September.
