Video Of Last-minute Wedding Cake Goes Viral After Baker Forgets To Make It - Newsweek

A woman has described the moment she forgot to bake someone's wedding cake as the "worst experience of her life."

Over 11 million people watched the five-minute TikTok video posted by Calgarycrumbs on September 11.

During the video, Manila Ibrahimi reveals a bride rang her to collect her two-tiered cake but it hadn't been started as Manila forgot.

Thankfully, she pulled it out of the bag within two hours and the bride "loved" the white cake with sunflowers. The video has racked up over one million likes and more than 5,600 comments.

A wedding cake is a staple at most modern day weddings, it is seen as a centerpiece by many.

Brides, a wedding publication in the U.S., has advised newlyweds to consider a flavor and style that reflects their personality when looking for the "perfect" wedding cake.

To achieve a cake that represents you, Brides encourage couples to do their research and utilize social media so they can see what sort of cakes they fancy.

Before committing to a cake, it is best to ask yourself: what does this cake say about me?

According to Brides, a cake is worth a thousand wedding vows.

During the video, Manila states she has never had a panic attack before but is "pretty sure" she had one on that day. She was under so much pressure that she even thought she may never bake a wedding cake again.

But, despite a few things going wrong, such as creases in the cake due to the buttercream being "made on the spot" and marks from the cake boards being visible, things were still under control.

Manila managed to fix both problems and the cake looked "beautiful" although she still feared the bride would be unhappy as she was unable to buy fresh sunflowers at the last minute.

After two hours, the cake was complete. Manila was prepared to give the cake away for free as it was a rushed job.

But the bride was over the moon and she was the first to comment on the video.

She said: "IT WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful cake! give yourself some credit lady!!"

Another baker commented: "I had anxiety listening to this."

Another asked: "My question is how did you record this whole thing? I would have way too much anxiety to even press record."

"Y'all she's human she is allowed to forget things and she did a great job too!" said another.
