TikTok user bakes cake with revolting 'surprise' filling: 'My jaw literally dropped' - Yahoo Lifestyle

Over the past few weeks, the internet has been plagued by hyperrealistic cakes that have everyone questioning what’s real and what isn’t.

Those red Crocs on your timeline? They’re cake. Oh, and that seemingly normal carton of eggs? It’s also cake.

As if the hyperrealistic cake trend isn’t bad enough, now people are baking things that, though they look like cakes on the outside, are actually made of disgusting ingredients that should never be served for dessert.

On July 22, TikTok user idahochase uploaded a video of what appears to be a normal round cake next to a can of Spaghetti-Os.

First, Chase tries to cut into the can of Spaghetti-Os, just in case it’s actually a cake in disguise. Don’t worry — it’s not!

Next, Chase takes the knife and cuts the cake in half.

Naturally, you’d expect the inside of the cake to be a delicious, moist-looking vanilla batter, perhaps with a smooth chocolate frosting. Not quite. When Chase cuts his cake down the middle, a disgusting Spaghetti-Os filling immediately starts oozing from it.

People were not pleased with Chase’s “Cake or fake?” reveal.

“My jaw literally dropped,” one person said. “I don’t know what I was expecting but it wasn’t that.”

“I feel like I just got punched,” another user commented.

“I can’t take it anymore,” a third person said. “This was the last straw.”
