Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank have chosen London-based cake designer Sophie Cabot to make their wedding cake.
The second royal wedding of the year is fast approaching with Eugenie and Jack getting married on 12th October at St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle; the same venue where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tied the knot.

New details has revealed that it will be a red velvet and chocolate cake which will be 'traditional' with a 'modern feel'. The cake will 'incorporate the rich colours of autumn in its design and will be covered with detailed sugar work including ivy'.
Eugenie and Jack are said to be 'delighted' that Sophie can be involved in the celebrations for their special day.
Sophie actually came to the attention of the couple through her involvement with Princess Eugenie's father, Prince Andrew The Duke of York’s Pitch@Palace programme, where she supplied specially decorated bespoke biscuits.
Originally a costume designer, Sophie started her bespoke cake design business in 2014 having grown up with a love of baking and learning her skills from her grandmother and mother. Sophie’s artistic skills and flair come through in her creations, with a particular love for making sugar-flowers and using her hand-painting skills to create unique cakes.
'I am incredibly excited to be given this wonderful opportunity to create such a special and unique cake,' said cake designer Sophie. 'It has been lovely working with Princess Eugenie and Jack and I really hope they enjoy the cake on the day.'

Elsewhere, The Royal Collection Trust has started the countdown to the royal wedding by releasing the couple's official wedding china, with each item featuring a monogram surmounted by the coronet of Princess Eugenie, alongside the couple's entwined monogram.
The memorabilia is decorated with garlands of ivy, chosen to represent Eugenie and Jack's home, Ivy Cottage, located in the grounds of Kensington Palace. The green leaves are featured alongside English wild bluebells, forget-me-nots and the white rose of York.
