Proudly sharing a snap of her creation on Instagram, the costume designer turned cake maker gushed with gratitude at the praise she has received from her followers.
Taking the photograph herself, the bespoke cake designer angling a picture from above, revealing the stunning detail of the five-tier showstopper.
Miss Cabot wrote: “My very amateur attempt at a birds eye view! So grateful for the amazing cake love, especially from all you fellow cake makers, it truly means a lot.”
The red velvet and chocolate wedding cake featured gold piping at the base, embossed with the letters E J, surrounded by hand-painted blackberry bramble.
Tumbling down each of the tiers were detailed sugar work leaves, including ivy, in rich autumn colours to match the October 12 wedding.
Miss Cabot had pored over the final touches, featuring warm red, orange, green and brown hues, for hours to complete her masterpiece.
It contained up to 400 eggs, at least 53 packs of unsalted butter, 15 kilograms of organic self-raising flour and 20 kilos of sugar.
The London-based cake designer came to the attention of the couple through her involvement with The Duke of York’s Pitch@Palace programme, helping upcoming entrepreneurs.
Originally a costume designer, Miss Cabot started her bespoke cake design business in 2014 and particularly “loves making sugarflowers and using her handpainting skills, giving all clients the opportunity to have a unique cake.”
Her website says: “Growing up with a love of baking and all things sweet, Sophie learnt her baking skills from her grandmother’s and mother’s kitchen. Home was never without delicious smells and mouth‐watering goodies.”
The Duchess of York tied the knot with her long-term partner, wine merchant Jack Brooksbank, on Friday October 12 at Windsor Castle.
More than 800 guests watched the couple wed in a star-studded ceremony, including Naomi Campbell, Cara Delevingne, Stephen Fry and Ellie Goulding.
Following the ceremony, the Princess wore a stunning second wedding dress for the evening reception, before her and pals let their hair down in a lavish funfair-themed bash thrown by Sarah Ferguson.
