Henry Winkler marked his 78th birthday with a cake marking his iconic 'jumping the shark' moment from a 1977 episode of Happy Days.
The actor, who played Arthur 'Fonzie' Fonzarelli on the show, literally coined the term 'jumping the shark' when his character attempted to jump over a tiger shark while on waterskis.
Appearing on The View on Monday, the Scream star was presented with a cake marking the legendary moment, with an icing figure of The Fonz in his signature leather jacket and swim trunks atop a blue sponge topped with a shark fin.
Winkler said: 'First of all, my birthday cake is that I got to sit at this table. That’s number one and that is the truth. You are very powerful, point-of-view women and that is amazing
'Number 2, I am the only actor in the world that jumped the shark twice — once on Happy Days, and once on Arrested Development.'
The star appeared on the show to promote his new memoir, Being Henry: The Fonz…And Beyond which will be released on October 31.
Henry first came into the public eye when he had a secondary role on the hit 70s show Happy Days as local tough Fonzie.
The character turned out to be so popular, he was made a lead in the series which lasted for 10 years.
He made appearances in the Adam Sandler comedies The Waterboy And Little Nicky. The versatile star also provided voice work for many animated shows, including Clifford's Puppy Days and Sit Down, Shut Up.
In the 2010s Henry got in front of the camera, charming audiences in comedies such as Parks and Recreation, Royal Pains, Arrested Development and Barry.
The author and actor was able to take part as music teacher Mr. Rock in the Hank Zipzer television series based on his popular books.
Reflecting on lessons he had learned during his life, he told People: 'I spent most of my adult life being frightened, on the outside looking like I had it together and mostly being anxious.
'The biggest lesson, I really now believe today in 2023 looking back, is not only must you be tenacious, not only must you be grateful, but you also have to be flexible.'
