A national bakery chain that specializes in Bundt cakes will be opening a new store in Manheim Township.
Nothing Bundt Cakes will take a spot in the Wegmans-anchored Crossings at Conestoga Creek across from Long’s Park. The bake shop at 1500 Gilbert Way, Suite B117, will occupy a spot in a row of shops behind Reel Cinemas.
Nothing Bundt Cakes features a wide variety of Bundt cakes, including mini Bundt cakes and “bundtinis” which are the size of cupcakes. In addition to cakes, the shops carry party supplies such as sparkler candles and balloon bouquets.
A Bundt cake is a cake that is baked in a doughnut-shaped pan called a Bundt pan. The cake’s name refers to the pan it is baked in, not a specific flavor itself.
Nothing Bundt Cakes has more than 500 locations in the United States and Canada. The franchisees for the new bake shop are Sloan and Kathleen Winters, along with their sons, Aaron and Jordan. Sloan Winters said they hope to open the shop by the end of November.
In 1997, Dena and Debbie founded Nothing Bundt Cakes in their Las Vegas home kitchens. The company was acquired in 2021 by Roark Capital, an Atlanta-based private equity firm whose other food brands include Arby’s, Buffalo Wild Wings, The Cheesecake Factory and Miller’s Ale House.
