Meghan Markle and Harry get Royal cake MAKEOVER as LIFE SIZE edible desert goes on display

The cake, which will go on display at a baking show, was made by Lara Mason who spent 250 hours making the dessert.

It is made from 300 eggs as well as 50kg of fondant icing.

It is also covered in chocolate ganache and is entirely edible except for the frames.

The massive dessert weighs around 20 stone.

The Royal cake will be one of the pieces that will be displayed at the Cake International at the National Exhibition Centre.

However, this is not Ms Mason’s first time making an edible Royal.

Previously, she has made a replica of Prince George.

The George replica took Ms Mason 30 hours to do and stood at 91cm.

She had made the Prince George cake for an international bake-off in 2015 where she won a gold award.

At the event, she said: "The feedback from the judges was they loved what I did.

"But they wanted to see what I could do on a smaller scale because when it's life-sized and you put it on the table, they can't see all the smaller details and the most important part on a human sculpture is a face.

"I thought I'd do a child. He's the most famous child in the world and especially cute as well and very, very current."

Ms Mason has also won gold awards in previous competitions for other life-sized work that she has done.

Two of these other award-winning cakes include Jennifer Lawrence and Johnny Depp dressed as Jack Sparrow.

Her replicas of Meghan and Harry will be on display starting November 2 until November 4.
