7-Eleven Is Selling White Castle's Gooey Butter Cake On-A-Stick - Delish

When White Castle debuted their "Gooey Butter Cake On-A-Stick" as a limited-time-only item back in 2014, they surely didn't expect it to become the cult phenomenon that it is now. All that is to say when @FamilyFoodDude posted about finding the stuff in a 7-Eleven store yesterday, the internet paaanicked.

"After a long weekend of wrestling and cross country flights, I stopped to get gas at a 7-Eleven in Tampa. I spotted these beauties," his post explained (though why he felt the need to justify finding and eating such magnificence is beyond me). He concluded his review:

You’re probably asking yourself: “Eric, did you really eat Gooey Butter Cake on a Stick in your car at 7AM on a Monday morning?” You’re damn right I did. I regret nothing! These things are awesome. Tasty, portable, and easy to eat while driving.

Reactionary comments ranged from "well, did you eat all four cakes??" to "YESSSSSSS" to people noting they, too, had seen the cake in their 7-Elevens and loved it.

So! While you can still get the stuff at an actual White Castle near you, you now seemingly have the option of getting your butter cake to-go at your local 7-Eleven as well. That said, Delish has reached out to both 7-Eleven and White Castle to confirm the availability of the dessert as well as whether or not this is happening in 7-Elevens nationwide at the moment.

Until we hear back, you can also take matters into your own hands, you know. You can make your way to all White Castles and 7-Elevens anywhere in your vicinity and buy out their Gooey Butter Cake stashes. To ensure they keep it in stock forever, you know. And for journalism's sake. Of course.
