Gov. Tom Wolf is showing that he has an hankering for sweets when it comes to betting on the Philadelphia Eagles' continued success.
After receiving a carton of cheesecakes from Illinois Gov.-elect J.B. Pritzker for the Eagles' victory over the Chicago Bears last Sunday, Wolf is looking to receive a Manny Randazzo King Cakes (a Mardi Gras tradition) from Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards following the outcome of the Eagles' game against the New Orleans Saints.
“Looking forward to a sweet win,” Wolf stated on his Twitter account on Saturday.
The @Eagles play the @Saints tomorrow in the #PHIvsNO #NFLPlayoffs.
I bet @LouisianaGov John Bel Edwards @Tastykake Butterscotch Krimpets that the Birds would win. He's betting New Orleans' speciality king cakes.

If the Saints win, Wolf agreed in the friendly wager to send Tastykake Butterscotch Krimpets to Edwards.
The governor offered this encouragement to the team and their Coach Doug Pederson going into Sunday’s game: “Keep doing what you’re doing.”
As for the cheesecakes, the governor, who adheres to a gift ban, said he distributed them around the Capitol.
“Apparently, they were very good,” Wolf said.
