Once again, a Boston bakery is feeding hungry New England Patriots fans with a gigantic cake as people join the team for a send-off rally at Gillette Stadium Sunday.
Montilio’s Baking Company in Brockton created a 16-by-12-foot cake covered with Patriots symbols as fans wish the team good luck in the Super Bowl.
Owner George Montilio told WHDH that the cake is close to 1,400 pounds. It will be constructed at the stadium and served sometime during the rally.
The cake will feed more than 5,000 fans.
The Brockton bakery has created the cake for the send-off rally in the past three years, WHDH reports.
Montilio’s posted other pictures of their Patriots goodies on Facebook. The bakery has a goat-shaped cake in honor of quarterback Tom Brady. The bakery, which has locations in Braintree, Quincy, and Weymouth as well, makes football-shaped cookies and other treats covered with Patriots logos.
