Elizabeth Rowe is known around Ft. Worth for creating feats of cake engineering, a skill that landed her a spot on reality baking competition show Cake Wars in 2016. Now, the London-born baker is opening a new outpost of her store, aptly named The London Baker, in Lewisville.
The new outpost is set to debut at 2540 King Arthur Boulevard in the Castle Hills Village Shops this weekend, according to a press release. In the shopping center, Rowe’s destination for custom cakes and sweets will be joining craft brewery TKO Libations, gourmet cheese shop The Salty Cow, and Kanzi Sushi & Hibachi among other eateries.
Dessert enthusiasts will find English crumpets, scones, and traditional English tea at The London Baker, along with American favorites like brownies and deep dish cookies. Elaborate custom cakes, what Rowe is known best for, will also be baked at the shop. In addition to classic flavors like red velvet, lemon, and strawberry, Rowe has unveiled boozy options including a chocolate cake made with stout beer and a salted caramel butter cream filling.
The London Baker officially swings open the doors on Saturday, March 17. Check out some of Rowe’s best cakes from last year before making a trip to the new suburban bakery.
