With Animal Crossing: New Horizons out, fans are quickly upgrading their homes, decorating their islands, and collecting Bells.
It is never too early to think ahead though. The series is all about trade, money, and paying off loans. While you may be asking yourself what you can sell for the most Bells now, later you might be asking what you can buy for the most Bells (besides the house of course).
The series definitely has its expenses. Some pieces of furniture cost as much as upgrading your whole house! Here are the ten most expensive items you can buy in the series.
10 Gracie Bed For 250,000 Bells
Gracie is the fashionista giraffe who has appeared in all the Animal Crossing games in some shape or form. She has made us wash her fancy car, sold expensive clothes, and is the seller of some of the most expensive furniture pieces in the series.
Her most expensive set is the one named after her, the Gracie Set. The bed itself costs 250,000 Bells!
9 Gracie Chest For 300,000 Bells
The Gracie bed is far from the most expensive item in the entire set. The chest is 50,000 Bells more!
As you can see from the picture, the set is all blue with green, blue, and yellow layered spots as a pattern. The pattern actually matches what Gracie wears. That is part of why the set is named after her.
8 Card Wall Clock For 300,000 Bells
The Card set of furniture is another one that runs on the expensive side. If you theme your house around it, your room will look like something out of Alice in Wonderland or like a Vegas-Themed Escape Room.
The most expensive piece of the Card furniture set is the wall clock for 300,000 Bells.
7 Gracie Wagon For 300,000 Bells
The Gracie wagon is not quite a wagon as you may first picture. It is a small rolling folding table with a teacup. It is a piece of furniture that implies you are rich and have others bring you your tea. Very Gracie indeed.
It sells for the same amount as the Gracie chest. If you want to buy the whole set, this quickly adds up to a fortune. Already with the bed, chest, and wagon, you will be spending 850,000 Bells! That is already nearing 1,000,000! If this set is to make a return in New Horizons, you better start saving.
6 Princess Curio For 300,000 Bells
The Princess set really lives up to its name. It gives you the feeling that you walked into a fairytale with its gentle blue hues and white floral patterns. It comes with a vanity, birdcage, dresser, closet, chair, canopy bed, clock, table, wallpaper, flooring, and lamp.
However, its most expensive item is the curio. It basically a glass cabinet with all sorts of delicate and dainty objects inside. Most of the other pieces range in the 200,000s. While it's still not the most expensive, the set can definitely add up to a lot of in-game work.
5 Gracie Shelf For 350,000 Bells
For 50,000 Bells more than the wagon, bed, and chest, there is the Gracie shelf. Like the other pieces, it is a dark wood with a cloth accent of the Gracie pattern. It may be a little more pricey just because it comes with a cute alarm clock and a lot of teacups in the shelves.
This piece, as well as one other one, are the most expensive parts of the Gracie set. So adding this to the bed, wagon, and chest already brings the total up to above 1 million Bells!
4 Gorgeous Wall Clock For 350,000 Bells
Another one of the most expensive furniture sets out there is the Gorgeous set. It is all black, gold, and red. It looks like the sort of room where you wear a robe all day in and drink scotch. It even has a bar piece!
Like the Card set though, the most expensive piece in the set is the clock. It is interesting that the clocks are the most expensive since they are not large. It would make more sense for the beds to be expensive, because those are far more elaborate and big. But who knows? The prices may change in New Horizons if these sets make an appearance.
3 Gracie Wardrobe For 350,000 Bells
The last piece of Gracie furniture that is the most expensive is the wardrobe. It ties with the shelf as the most pricey pieces of them all. The wardrobe is wooden with the Gracie pattern on the doorknobs. So it is a pretty simple piece, despite its extravagant price.
Since the Gracie set made up a lot of this list, it should be known that a lot of its pieces also didn't make the list. The furniture from the set that are 250,000 Bells or below include the chair, bench, low table, lamp, desk, wallpaper, flooring, and clock. The cheapest of the set is the low table at 68,000 Bells. By the way, these are the New Leaf pieces! In City Folk, all the sets were cheaper.
2 Crown For 1,000,000 Bells
The two most expensive items in the game are actually clothing items. In particular, they are hats. Crowns to be more specific. For 1 million Bells, you can get an adorable small crown. It resembles the sort of crown Princess Peach from the Mario games would wear.
Wearing this crown is definitely a statement to other players that you are rolling in Bells. However, there is one piece that costs even more.
1 Royal Crown For 1,200,00 Bells
The Royal Crown is 200,000 Bells more than the regular Crown. It is much larger and resembles actual historical crowns from Europe.
It is a major status symbol in the world of Animal Crossing and we have little doubt that it will be available in New Horizons once the island is quite developed. The question is, is a hat really worth that many Bells? With that much, you can probably re-furnish every home in town instead!
