Woman who asked for Hello Kitty birthday cake instead receives a nightmarish dessert that looks like a cross b - Daily Mail

A Hello Kitty cake has gone viral after it appeared to resemble a mix of fame horror movie characters Freddy Krueger and Chucky.

Kenia Ramos, of Monterrey, Mexico, took to Facebook last week to complain that a woman she had asked to bake a cake had botched the $16 dessert.

'Guys don't purchase cakes from Fernanda Esquivel,' Ramos' caption read next to a picture of the cake and Esquivel's profile on the social media platform. 'She charged me (300 pesos) a cake of a Hello Kitty head. Poor service. I don't recommend her.'

The birthday cake featured a pink frosting over the base of the cake that outlined the famed Japanese fictional character's white face.

Esqueviel went further off track by drawing red lines over the face, bearing a striking resemblance to both the Nightmare on Elm Street and Child's Play characters.

She used a yellow object for Hello Kitty's nose, placed a shiny set of fake teeth as an added prop and added three strips of chocolate on each side in place of the whiskers.

The cake attracted a flurry of comments from followers who were just as shocked as Ramos.

One user initially thought it was a pig, which another commenter agreed with.

'I thought it was the face of a demon,' another wrote.

Following the botched Hello Kitty cake, Ramos asked her followers if they knew of anyone who could create the fictional character out of flowers

'What in the devil is that,' another user said. 'I think I am going to dream about that cake. May God catch us confessed. It has teeth that are better than mine. I will buy them.'

However, Esqueviel jumped in the comment section and confirmed they were just playing around.

'Don't believe her. It's a prank,' she wrote. 'I don't even know how to cook a damn egg.'

Ramos kept the joke running by asking her followers if she should sign up Esqueviel for cooking classes.

Her fondness for Hello Kitty was not ruined by the frightening cake – she is now searching for someone who can create a version of the character with flower
