If ever there was a party to get on the door for, it’s this one – and oh to be a fly on the wall.
Overnight, famed fashion photographer Mert Alas – who makes up one half of photography duo Mert and Marcus – was surprised with a swanky birthday bash at MNKY HSE in London’s Mayfair, hosted by CÎROC.
And he was joined by his nearest and dearest during London Fashion Week, who just happened to be the who’s who in the industry, as they sipped on awesome cocktails and just stood around soaking up eachother’s awesomeness.
Or so we assume.
Such a shame it seemed our invitation was lost in the post, eh?
Celebrities including *inhales* Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Lindsay Lohan, Vogue editor Edwrad Enninful, Lupita Nyong’o, makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury and Doutzen Kroes *exhales* turned up to celebrate the photographer’s 47th birthday.
That’s right – Lindsay Lohan.
Whatever happened to her?
She sort of dropped off the face of the earth but if her appearance at this soiree says anything it’s that the Mean Girl is back, baby.
Rihanna and Leonardo DiCaprio were rumoured to have scored an invitation, but were nowhere to be seen.
The creme de la creme of the evening, the piece de resistance, the highlight, if you will, was Kate Moss doing a Marylin Monroe and jumping out of a giant birthday cake to honour the snapper.
The model who’s worked with Mert before wore a slinky embroidered number as she clambered out of the cardboard cake, microphone in hand.
Taking a turn on the mic, the model then proceeded to serenade Mert.
Obviously her pipes weren’t too shabby, as she was allowed to exit the monument, soon embraced by her old mate Mert who chose not to banish her to the dark depths of the prop.
Mert shared footage of the model showing off her singing chops – and we have to say we’re impressed.
Kate gave old mate Maz a run for her money with her own sultry and slowed down version of the birthday tune, before she broke out in a fit of giggles as the audience egged her on.
She was then photographed leaving the shindig hours later looking like she’d had quite the party.
We guess that happens when you enter the party in a cake.
