NIFTY FIFTY
The Krewe of Armenius marked a half-century of tradition with their 50th annual ball. Members celebrated the city's tricentennial with historical skits, and enjoyed delicious cuisine, drinks and entertainment among the Carnival statuary at Mardi Gras World.
WHERE CAKE IS KING
The scene was James Michalopoulos' Studio; the occasion was the annual Voodoo Ballerina King Cake Party. After the parades passed, hungry revelers descended upon another seemingly endless procession: of Dong Phuong king cakes, along with an assortment of pastries from other bakeries.
