FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — A local bakery will be shutting its doors a little after a year in business just west of downtown Fort Wayne.
In an announcement on both Facebook and their website, Chimney Cakes announced they will be shutting their doors on May 25.
In the post, Chimney Cakes said, “We are grateful for every minute we’ve got to serve you and we are hopeful that the future will open new doors for our business!”
The bakery is known for its Transylvanian pastry, the Kürtőskalács, which comes in savory and sweet flavors.
Hours leading up to the last day are Fridays from 12 to 6 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Chimney Cakes is located at 1202 W. Main Street just under a half mile west of Lutheran Downtown Hospital.
