GREENSBORO — Pound Cakes by Margaret Elaine at 3008 Spring Garden St. in Greensboro is holding a grand opening 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, which is National Pound Cake Day.
The shop is in a strip center across from Fat Dogs and near Dunkin’ Donuts at the intersection of Spring Garden Street and Holden Road.
Margaret Elaine Gladney opened the shop in December. It is a re-brand of a previous shop on South Elm Street.
The grand opening Sunday features live music, door prizes, a raffle and mobile video game theater.
The shop offers pound cake by the slice in a variety of flavors such as lemon glazed, vanilla, caramel, rum and chocolate butter.
Orders are taken for whole pound cakes, birthday cakes and holiday orders; call 336-355-1371.
