A Berks County World War II veteran served up a birthday cake for the children of state Rep. Mark Gillen.
Gillen picked up the cake from Luigi Sanfeesi, a resident of Heritage of Green Hills in Shillington, on Sunday.
"Today, a great friend and World War II veteran Luigi Sanfeesi at Heritage of Green Hills, a couple of weeks back offered to make a birthday cake for three of my daughters who have their birthdays clustered," Gillen said.
The Gillens thanked him by waving from afar.
